Jovan Mercier Montminy graduated from the carpentry program in 2010 and became one of our teachers this spring. Jovan brings with him experience in the LEED certification program and ecological projects. Students show great respect for Jovan as he “is one of them”, having been through the program.
Tanya Clarke graduated from the Health, Assistance and Nursing program in 2008. Tanya has been working at the Barrie Memorial Hospital and will be returning there after her extended maternity leave. She will be joining our team of stage teachers this fall. “This is so exciting, I can’t wait to start” said Tanya.
CVCEC takes great pride in having alumni return to our centre to become program teachers. It reflects very well on our programs, and provides for tremendous continuity, that our past students want to return to give of themselves to keep our programs up to date with recent experience in their fields. Students really take to the alumni because they have been in their shoes and they have succeeded in the field. What a great way to see our successes helping the future! Proud moments at CVCEC!
