Huntingdon Adult Education and Community Centre (HAECC) is up and running with more action than ever before! With numbers up in academics, SVIS and SFIS there are new faces being welcomed every day. The Horticulture program has also started for another year with nine new keen students looking to spruce up their skills in gardening. Now let’s not forget our community organizations, Community Learning Centre (CLC) activities, Melissa Sunshine Camp and Cardio Actifs who all together utilize and share the HAECC building in order to run their services to our community. The CLC evening activities have started up with a little bit of everything from photo club to computer courses, exercise classes and art classes!
On Tuesday September 15th, all staff, students and community organizations in the building came together for a BBQ to kick off the 2015-2016 school year. The Café class students worked hard to prepare a free meal for everyone which included corn, hotdogs, cupcakes and drinks. It was a great way to kick off the new school year enabling everyone a chance to mingle and enjoy the sunshine!
