Crossroads – let the journey begin!

Life is about making the right choices and enjoying the journey. It is a New Year and time to make changes happen.
Monday, January 11th, 2016, 15 students began their studies in the Assistance in Health Care Facilities program at CVCEC. We spent the week getting to know each other, making new friends and exploring all the activities, committees and social life the centre has to offer. CVCEC will be our second home for the next 9-months. We also ventured into the community to visit potential job sites: Huntingdon Hospital, CHO (Centre d’hébergement Ormstown) and the Barrie Memorial Hospital. In addition we had guests come to the classroom to speak about their experiences working in the health field. One special guest, Vanessa, who graduated from this class last year, talked about how she is now juggling two jobs, both in the health care field.
By the end of the week everyone felt they had chosen the right road and we are all looking forward to the rest of this journey together.
