Horticulture visits Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre

The Horticulture team went to Kahnawake to create an indoor tropical garden for the Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre. We were welcomed with open arms and the gratitude was overwhelming. In total 67 plants were donated and we hope both patients and staff will enjoy the gift. Our day was followed by a traditional Mohawk meal and a meeting with two elders who shared with us their love of gardening. To the elders gardening is a sacred thing, they refer to plants as family, as their children… it’s immensely inspiring. Thank you Kahnawake… we will see each other soon.
