Crafters fair helps promote the arts

Spas in a jar, handmade candles and soaps, original jewelry and ceramics, children books by a local author and many other objects, each more impressive than the other… this is what you would have found in NOVA’s parking lot on Saturday October 17th. Thanks to twelve crafters, who were not afraid of bad weather, a crafters’ fair took place to raise funds for art projects in NFSB schools.

“Despite rain, snow, hail and wind, many people came to support us and the crafters have did some good business today. The raffle tickets we sold also worked successfully. I’m proudly submitting a $735.00 check to NFSB in order to support arts projects in their schools” said Tara Fetchok, the organizer of the event.

Tara and the New Frontiers School Board would like to thank the artisans who didn’t have cold feet on the crazy autumn day, to those who participated in the raffle and to the many citizens from the community who came by to do some shopping.

735 times bravo and thank you to Tara Fetchok for her generosity and involvement in this first time event.
