Robotics

Students from the Options Class have been working on the EV3 Mindstorms Robotics kit.  This is the latest generation robotics kit from Lego that allows users to program their robot via Bluetooth from an Ipad or laptop.  Once completed, the robots can be programmed to interpret data from sound sensors, light sensors, and touch sensors. The robots can also be programmed to move and speak.  They can respond to voice commands as well.  Students are currently in the building phase of the project and will begin programming within the next two weeks. Many aspects of the curriculum are put into practice during this project such as cooperative learning, problem-solving communication, and carrying out fine motor movements. The students are very engaged and often choose to continue working through their break on this project.
