NOVA students serve up a winning time!

Students from the NOVA Career Centre were involved in a very exciting volleyball tournament this past week. Twelve teams participated in this year’s tournament with over 130 students, which is the largest turnout since we started in 2018. Teams from Lester B. Pearson, New Frontiers, Riverside, Sir Wilfrid Laurier, and the Western Quebec School Board participated in a friendly competition. The day was full of excitement, encouragement, lots of laughs, and many nail-biting games. New friends and memories were made, and the overall skill level was amazing. At the end of the day, PACC, NOVA, and CVCEC all finished with identical scores at the top of the leaderboard. A mini-round-robin was required to see which teams would play in the final. In the end, NOVA and CVCEC (both New Frontiers School Board) battled for the top spot. It took three sets and extra points before a winner was declared. Congratulations to NOVA who captured first place! Both NOVA and CVCEC walked away with banners for their respective schools.
