Students from the Options/Sunshine class attended the Job Fair organized by Valleyfield CLC Community Development Agent, Brooke Wilson, at Gault Institute on Thursday, March 16th. The students listened to presentations and participated in hands-on kiosks set up in the gymnasium. They also learned about Continuing Education opportunities. Some of the presenters had interactive displays – where students had an opportunity to try virtual welding, mount a car tire with an impact wrench, and try on safety equipment used by firefighters. That afternoon there was a workshop given by Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi Huntingdon on job research techniques which included information on how to build a CV, and job interview skills.
