You’ll learn about organizing and reporting of financial records, reconciling bank statements, processing business transactions including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, payroll, and more!

Skills you will learn

  • Building spreadsheets: tracking income and expenditures
  • Formulating daily and end-of-period reports
  • Preparing payroll systems and income tax analysis

Prerequisites

You will need:

  • A high school diploma, or
  • Be at least 16 years old and have Secondary 4  English, Math, and French, or
  • Be at least 16 years old and have Secondary 3 English, Math, and French. You will have to take classes at the same time as you study your trade to obtain Secondary 4 credits in English, Math, and French. Don’t worry – we can help with that path., or
  • Be at least 18 years old and pass the General Development Test
