Be Happy!

Job vs Career

It took a while for me to realize this, but when I pull into the parking lot, I am not coming to work, I’m coming to CVCEC. A place where I get to share my knowledge and love for woodworking with students, who may or may not, have any former knowledge in the carpentry trade. There is nothing like watching a student’s eyes light up, once they have reached a certain goal. Seeing a student, who may not have thought that there was a way of accomplishing a specific task; and you are there to guide them. Who could ask for anything more?

The people I work with are great, I don’t believe I have ever worked with a finer group .There is always laughter in our Centre – if you listen, you’ll always hear it.

So what do you say? Would you rather go to work, or go to a place where you can enrich someone’s life and yours? It could be a student’s or a colleague’s life, and in return, you can walk away knowing that today, you have made an impact. Don’t get me wrong we all have bad days, but it’s up to us to make the best of every day.  I never thought, in a million years, that I would be a teacher; and you know what? It’s great!

The moral of my story is, you must enjoy what you do in order to be happy at work! Come and learn at our wonderful centre!
