Congratulations to the New Frontiers School Board – 2019 Outstanding Citizens and Artists. Our Adult Learners continue to showcase success, leadership, creativity and perseverance. Every day our students meet their challenges head-on while balancing work and life commitments while doing their schooling. The dedication which is exemplified by these adult learners is something they should be very proud of. Because everyone in our Centres (CVCEC, HAECC, NOVA Career Centre) and the Continuing Education Department are extremely proud of them for their success and leadership. Here are their stories!
- Frédéric Nault (CVCEC): Frédéric is a young man in our Construction-Carpentry program who is fully implicated in life at the Chateauguay Valley Career Education Centre. He goes far beyond his “role” of student by helping fellow students and teachers throughout the Program. Frédéric can be counted on when anyone else needs a little extra support. He is attentive o the needs of others, and it is a pleasure to have him as a student. Congratulations, Frédéric, and all the best for continued success!
- Cheyenne Delisle (NOVA Career Centre): A young mother from Kahnawake, Cheyenne has shown outstanding dedication while studying Automobile Mechanics at the NOVA Career Centre. She will be the first to volunteer in any event that is happening on a ped day. She is never afraid to display her school spirit in the participation of Careers Fairs, Open Houses and Extra Curricular activities. It is a pleasure to have Cheyenne in our group, and impressive to watch her learn, juggle home and school life, and remain positive and involved in school life. Congratulations, Cheyenne! Your future looks bright.
- Micheal Poulin (HAECC): Micheal is a guitarist/artist who is passionate about healthy, happy relationships, learning, and music. He is perseverant and is unconditionally committed to his goals and dreams. Michael is dedicated and motivated to succeed. He is a responsible citizen who honours his commitments. It is a pleasure to have him in our group.
- Suzie Carpentier (HAECC): Suzie is an incredible woman who cares deeply for the people around her. She lives in a residence with 10 other people and cares for them like they are her family. Every week we bake cookies and sell them to our school and, every week, Suzie brings her own money and buys cookies for two people in her class who she lives with. She is “mama bear” who protects and supports the people she loves. She tries her best every day in school, pushing herself physically and academically, and making us so proud of her!
