Community Wednesdays Schedule 2013-14

Community Wednesdays are back and we have continued to grow. There will be six community Wednesdays this school year and we’ll be visiting four schools in the Chateauguay region.

Once again the $2 spaghetti dinner and on-site babysitting for children under 7-years old will be available. This year in addition to the usual local services available we will also attempt to have a special theme for each evening. We would like to invite groups, schools and organizations, etc. to piggyback onto a specific themes if possible and include content that would be helpful to share with the population.

Wednesday Schedule – 4:00-7:00 PM – (location & special theme):

October 2nd – St. Willibrord School & CLC – “Back to school”

November 6th – Centennial Park school – “Living together: generations, culture, immigration”

December 4th – St. Willibrord School & CLC – “Holiday Time: special visit from the man in a red suit”

February 5th – école St-Jude – “My budget, my finances, etc.”

April 2nd – école Notre-Dame de l’Assomption – “Healthy living: nutrition, physical activity”

May 7th – St. Willibrord School & CLC – “Environmentally Friendly”

“Community Wednesdays” is a local partnership project between the New Frontiers School Board and the Table de Jeunesse de Chateauguay. This project hopes to create general awareness for the public, especially families, about local community organizations and social services available in our area. These evenings are offered in a bilingual setting in order to reach as many citizens as possible. Everyone is welcome.
