Financial Literacy Workshops @ HAECC

In collaboration with Le Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi and Desjardins, HAECC students in the Options’ Classes participated in the “Personal Finance, I’m in Charge” workshop (Friday, April 5th). The first workshop of a 17 module program centred on cellphone usage and their contracts.  Students had the opportunity to learn and equip themselves with the information needed to make responsible decisions when using their cellphone and choosing a contract. Topics for upcoming workshops cover a wide range of important financial knowledge such as: budgeting, credit, buying choices and influences, savings, debts, food, transportation, finding a place to live, and consumer protection.

A special “Thank You!” to the Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi of Huntingdon and La Caisse Desjardins for bringing such a wonderful program to our Centre.
