Finding out where the fun is…

Residents came out in droves to visit the second annual autumn exhibition of cultural and sporting activities held at l’école Edgar-Hébert in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield last August 27th and 28th.

Close to thirty local organizations were on-site during the two day event to explain and showcase the services available in the area. Over 250 participants came to check-out the fun in order to sign-up for activities, ask questions and learn what was available to them and their families.

Gault Institute’s Community Learning Centre (CLC) technician Claire Mallette was also there to represent her school and the services, activities and partnerships offered, such as: English courses, watercolour art, fencing, Zumba, Girl Guides and Bonne Boîte Bonne Bouffe, etc.

Visitors were entertained by several demonstrations which pleased the onlookers such as the performance done by the Fencing Club of Roussillon (Club d’Escrime du Roussillon) and the Zumba dancing which had everyone moving.
