Indigenous History Class

Our Indigenous history class has been working since September on learning some of the more challenging and often forgotten parts of our history. The goal of our class is two-fold; students are learning about the effects of colonization on Indigenous peoples and each of their assignments were designed so that they can share their new knowledge through different media with the NOVA community. Social justice through education for the win!
Students each researched two nations or tribes from across Canada and the United States and inputted their work onto this Siftr Map. Siftr is a platform that is incredibly user-friendly and allows users to create a crowd-sourced map of anything you can imagine. Feel free to look around, and discover some of the nations around us. https://siftr.org/novaskennenmap/
