My journey at CVCEC

My journey at CVCEC started with the Assistance in Health Care Facilities program where I truly found my calling. For the past five years I had been taking care of family members and decided to get certified. After an amazing seven months, the option of taking the Home Care Assistance extension came up. I figured I have come this far so let’s see what this three-month program would be like. I absolutely loved it! About halfway through my Home Care program, the Health, Assistance and Nursing program began and even though I was still technically in Home Care, I made my decision to start my third trade. A fellow classmate was also doing the same thing as me. For about a month and a half, I was on stage and coming in on my days off for nursing. It was a little tough at times but with the support of my friends, my family, and the Health Care team at CVCEC, I was ready to pursue my education. It was the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. I live in Châteauguay, and the fact that there is now a free shuttle bus, makes coming to school less stressful because I don’t drive. I wouldn’t be where I am today had I not taken that first step. Come by and be a student for a day. You won’t regret it!
