Santa and spaghetti a perfect match!

Santa Claus stopped by for a visit during December’s “Community Wednesday” at St. Willibrord School and CLC. The community event was packed to the rafters as children talked with Santa, took pictures and each received a gift courtesy of either la Rencontre Châteauguoise and/or the Table De Jeunesse de Châteauguay.

Approximately 350 people walked into the Community Wednesday of the year so far, and over 250 people took advantage of $2 spaghetti supper. Visitors created Christmas crafts, watched the Irish Dancers perform and learned about local services available to families.

We’d like to give a huge special thank you to HSB student Ms. Laurynn Miller for taking great photos

Community Wednesdays also received some good news as they were recognized by Pierre Moreau, Liberal MNA for Châteauguay (2nd from the left side in the photo) as he presented a $1,000 cheque to Chuck Halliday (NFSB Development Agent), Marie-Claude Daoust (Rencontre Châteauguoise – Director General), Marc Brindle (Principal, St. Willibrord School and CLC) and Anthony Spadaccino (CLC Technician- Châteauguay region). Community Wednesdays was recognized as an innovative collaborative project which brings together numerous stakeholders in an effort to build community awareness about services available to local families.
