Welding – High Pressure

No, this isn’t learning to weld in a stressful situation. This is hands-on and theoretical training in the field of pipe welding. Learn to work with many metals including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum. You will be ready to pass the practical welding certification examination given by Service Québec, certifying you to weld high pressure pipes throughout the province.

(International students MUST register through the International Students application process.)

FAQ

What type of job can I expect to find when I’m finished my studies?

Many opportunities are available as an increase in retired welders is creating shortages of qualified workers. Many sectors depend upon highly skilled welding experts. Automobile, aircrafts, bridges and highways, and oil and natural gas pipelines are only a few examples of work areas that require welding expertise.

Will my training be recognized in other provinces?

As with Quebec, pipe welding in other provinces is governed by a provincial authority, each with unique requirements. However, your training will prepare you for the practical exam that you will be required to take in other provinces.

Could I find employment if I am not successful in completing the program?

A pipe welder will be required to acquire a valid provincial welding certification which is distinct from our certification. Candidates who do not graduate from our program will still be eligible to take the welding certification examination.
