On Tuesday March 22nd, CVCEC’s Assistance in Health Care Facilities (AHCF) students held a shaving clinic in order to raise funds for the Nursing program’s yearly trip to San José de Ocoa scheduled in May. For only $5, students and staff were welcomed to have their faces shaved and/or hair groomed for a good cause. Coffee and various treats were put out for the brave participants.
This activity also served as a great learning experience for AHCF students since they were able to put to practice some of the theory they learned in their Basic Care Procedures module. Many of them started the day off nervous but soon showed confidence and found the experience to be quite fun!
A special thanks to all students and staff who volunteered their heads and faces! A total of $85 dollars was raised!!
