My journey with the New Frontiers School Board did not start here at the Chateauguay Valley Career Education Centre. I am a graduate of the Secretarial Program at NOVA Career Centre, and completed a contract with them not too long after receiving my diploma. In early September, I joined the CVCEC team and soon noticed how unique this little centre really is.
Everyone here is remarkably welcoming, and it does not take long to feel at home. Staff genuinely care about the well-being, and success of each student no matter what situation may need addressing. Respect is always a very high priority. Many school-wide activities have been set up in the time I have been here, all targeted to create a sense of community. Homemade lunches theme days, and special occasions never go unnoticed and are celebrated. Students are encouraged to excel and receive recognition when they do so.
From working on the “Our House” project to everyday activity, I can clearly see why CVCEC is the choice of all of our students. This centre has truly found a way to stand out, which is not without the efforts of each individual member of the team. Any potential student should strongly consider CVCEC, because the experience will most definitely be a positive and fulfilling one.
