New Challenge

I needed a new challenge in my life – I wanted to go out with a big “BANG” before I retire. I wanted to make a difference in my life, by helping others.

It gives me a sense of gratification when I can assist in meeting the needs of an individual; to see a smile on their face, and knowing that I was part of it. Something just as simple as helping someone take a few more steps than they had the day before.

After thinking long and hard, I asked myself, how could I do this; especially at the age 52? Continuing Education could certainly help me find my future path! I did know there was a program offered where you could be working out in the community, helping people. Home Care Assistance was where I was going to start – on the right foot!

The Chateauguay Valley Career Education Centre (CVCEC) was the best decision I could choose for myself. My experience has been amazing! All of the staff are very supportive – they are there to help you succeed!!
I have been given the opportunity to be involved in a Humanitarian Experience – I will be going to Ocoa in the Dominican Republic on an international stage. It will help me understand the realities of life in a poor country.

I want to say to everyone, anyone can succeed in life with a good education! Anyone can go back to school – all you need is a positive outlook and a goal… the sky is the limit! No one has to have limitations if you put your heart into it!
