The NOVA Career Centre has a new basketball team that has burst onto the scene. A sports team at a vocational school is a rather unique entity in the province. Students from a multitude of programs have now joined forces to create the first ever NOVA basketball team in the school’s history. Head coach (and Assistant Centre Director) Dave Reddick is so pleased to have the opportunity to work with this collection of outstanding student athletes.
The team consists of students from:
5 – Auto Mechanics
5 – Academics
1 – Welding
Having the opportunity to learn a trade or finish their high school while still playing organized high-caliber basketball hasn’t gone unnoticed to the very appreciate group of young men who’ve decided to join the Northstars.
