Planning, an Important Step

One of the benefits of a vocational Health Care Program, is the opportunity to practice what you have learned in true health care settings. Our first year LPN students (Licensed practical nurse) just returned from their first placement, where they practiced bathing, dressing, feeding and exercising clients.
Overall, the students loved this initial entry into the health care system and look forward to future stage opportunities. The planning starts long before the students enter the hospital; the stages were booked through an online reservation system, often reserved 8-months in advance. Teachers are scheduled, uniforms are purchased and travel arrangements are made. We still have spaces at CVCEC (Ormstown) in our upcoming Nurse’s Aid program (Assistance in Health Care Facilities), as the planning is underway to begin in mid-January.

If you are looking for a new opportunity, please consider the health care industry. Our graduates in this 6-month program often have job offers before they finish.

You can register online or in person, we hope to see you soon.
