Is it possible to have fun and learn outside the classroom? The Residential and Commercial Drafting students were proven so on an engaging educational activity at the Salon National de l’habitation, construction fair. Moreover, they were able to gain some bilingual field related vocabulary, while searching for clues on a “housing treasure hunt”.
In this game each team tried to be the first to complete the tasks required by each clue. The tasks could be to bring pamphlets, business cards, pictures or samples. The objective was to be the first team to collect all the items required by the clues. With a time frame of approximately 3 hours, teams of 4 students hunted for clues while having some help from the teachers involved. Finally, the winners were selected per the time and quality of material collected.
